After graduating from University College, Cork in 1990, Graham Quin worked as a Civil Engineer with Cork County Council specialising in Building Control, Fire Prevention and Fire Service Health & Safety.

Later in his career he became a Director of Auditone Hearing, a niche hearing healthcare firm. It was during his work here as a Consulting Audiologist that he first became interested in the science of Slips, Trips & Falls (STF). Balance problems among the elderly population, and their relationship to Slips, Trips & Falls (STF) are an area of particular interest.

Graham Quin is committed to the ongoing upgrade of knowledge and skills. He has attended professional development training courses including:

  • Operation of the TRL Pendulum  to BS 7976 & UKSRG Standards (Knightcott Surface Solutions, UK)
  • Slips & Trips – Falls Prevention (Health & Safety Laboratory, UK)
  • Stair Assessment (Health & Safety Laboratory, UK)
